Engineering Manager Role
We’re seeking an Engineering Manager to join and lead the QA Technologies team in the Marketplace Technologies domain. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the health, morale, and efficiency of your team and, of course, ensure your team contributes to our company’s vision of making second-hand the first choice worldwide.

Responsibilities
- Lead a core QA team of around 8 engineers
- Ensure the team’s direction and delivery
- Collaborate closely with QA Staff Engineer, Technologies and Marketplace leadership, to deliver on testing strategy for Marketplace
- Drive crucial cross-domain initiatives in testing and ensure their timely delivery
- Apply Agile and Lean principles in your work and ensure the team has a set of processes that enables them to be effective
- Focus on the professional and personal growth of your team and yourself, including conducting performance and compensation reviews
- Work on team’s maturity: a group of people who trust each other, are not afraid of conflict, are committed and accountable, and care about results
About You
- Proven experience leading a software engineering team and delivering results
- With previous QA engineering experience, we expect you to be technical to a degree
- Project management experience delivery on cross-department initiatives
- Know how to make teams effective, manage scopes and deliverables
- Have experience building teams & hiring new team members
- Possess strong people management skills – have experience ensuring the development of team members
- Solid proficiency in communicating with both technical and management levels

- Able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
- Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English
